JASON RUTHERFORD has quit from his role as joint-manager of Shoreham FC which leaves Fred Proto in sole charge of the first-team at Middle Road. Rutherford, who was going to step down at the end of the season, decided to bring his decision forward. He said: "I've decided to pack it in because I just got a bit disillusioned with it all.
"I've not been around for the last couple of weeks anyway. I wasn't doing a lot and couldn't see myself improving things.
"I'd already told Roger Brace I was going to leave at the end of the season but that decision became a bit more difficult when Sammy Donnelly came in.
"I just wasn't enjoying it and was getting more and more wound up because I couldn't improve things. People didn't want to train or they wouldn't turn up. No one seemed interested.
"I didn't get paid at Shoreham so I just thought what's the point in carrying on if I'm not enjoying it?
"I'll just have a rest now and see what happens. I've had a few phone calls already but I'm just going to spend some time at home and watch the odd match."
BIG SHOCK TO ME ANYWAY. WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK. CAN FRED DO IT ON HIS OWN??????
COME ON YOU MUSSELMEN!!!!
